"Design is intelligence made visible"

Alina Wheeler

When I was young I stood out from the rest, to where everyone else was so great at math, social studies, and science. However I found myself working on art? I was always different from the rest and I saw that as a very good thing, but my parents did not. Not because they didn’t support me but my grades were not the best . I never was a straight A student, I never excelled in any class except art. And maybe gym. As the years went by I would find myself not doing homework, but spending hours sitting at my desk with my headphones on in my own world just drawing. It would make me feel so accomplished spending so much time on a single project and finally finishing that last pencil stroke and holding the final product up in awe. The moment I realized, wow I created this. It was the best feeling in the world. I would get so excited I would run down to show my parents just to hear them praise me for the work I did and finally after so long I knew what I wanted to do with my life. So I decided Communication Design was going to be my major and with that I will create many masterpieces as I go, in hopes to get my work across the globe.
